I think those parents that help out with Cub Scouts really give a lot. Tonight was our December Parent's meeting where we had to discuss good turn week (we're collecting food), the December meeting, a new Treasurer (finally!) and the Pinewood Derby.
It usually lasts an hour to 90 minutes, but tonight we went almost 2 1/2 hours as we worked through various things. There was a little griping about the past since our treasurer disappeared last summer and while we didn't lose money, quite a few of us have been waiting on reimbursement as well as our budget being of of whack a bit.
Pinewood Derby is always a big discussion since we have a lot to plan. And this year I won't even be there, but as the awards guy, I'm the guy that has to purchase cars.
Always something.
