Volunteers

I had Delaney call and arrange volunteer work this morning for the Elizabeth Food Bank. He completed his badge requirements last time, but Kendall enjoyed the work, and I think it's good for them, so I'm aiming to have them down there once a month volunteering and helping out.

I'm glad we went today. After unloading donated food and getting the shelves stocked, a woman came in to get some food. She recognized Delaney and asked him if she knew her son. It was one Delaney's classmates, and he knew the boy. Good for him to see that you never know who might be down on their luck and need help getting enough food to eat.

It's a good feeling helping, and I'm glad the kids are enjoying it. I hope we can get down there once a month.
