Heard today I need to go back to Cambridge for some planning for 2013 at my company I December, so I’ve booked a (short) trip back across the water. I could have gotten out of it, but in talking about strategy and trying to make next year work better for me and the company, I think in person is the way to go. As much as I love email, it’s not the same as being in the room with someone to debate, discuss, and agree on things. Even today’s video call was a stretch and made it hard to get things done.
This will be a record year for me. Three trips to the UK and over 50K miles flown. Not sure that’s good or bad, but it should make next year go smoother in the air.
