I was struggling with a book I'd gotten for work, the other ones that Tia recommended didn't catch my interest, so I grabbed Personal, the latest Jack Reacher, on a trip.
It was great. A new thriller, this one reaching back into Reacher's past, where he busted a sniper and sent him away. When there's an attempt on the French President's life from a sniper, the CIA and Reacher determine that only 4 or 5 men could have done it, and his previous arrest was one of them.
The book is a wild ride, first in France, and then in London, where there's a G8 Summit and everyone expects the sniper to take a shot. They narrow down his potential help to a few street gangs in London, and Reacher is out there with a young CIA agent trying to track down the sniper and stop him.
One of the better Reacher novels.
