I made it a week. Actually over a week as I hadn't checked any work email since my last Friday at work, May 30. I've seen the counts creeping up in Outlook and on my phone, but I've made it a point to not actually open mail.
I'm not sure what happened today, but when I got a notification that Tia had sent me a note about Kendall's volleyball camp, I hit Mail on my phone and ended up in our corporate email system. The first thing was a note from Grant, about our talk in Boston on Sept 10. I read it, because I was wondering, and replied to him.
That's it, or it was going to be it. I saw a few spam things I deleted.
However, that wasn't the big interruption. I had committed to speak at the Denver WIT group this coming Wednesday and while I had gotten most of the deck done, I hadn't gotten it all, so I decided this morning would be a good time to work on it. Most of the deck is done and I know what I'm talking about, but I need to add some images and organization to the deck and practice a bit. It's a short 30 minute talk, so that's pretty easy for my at this point.
