The next book in the Spinward Fringe: Broadcast series is book 1 : Resurrection. It’s actually a Kindle pack that has book 1 and 2, so you get a good deal on the two of them.
In this book Jacob Valance is freed from a cryogenic chamber by his daughter, who leaves immediately to avoid being caught. Immediately the book jumps to 5 years later where he captains a privateer ship for hire that captures criminals for bounty.
It gives you another view of the Spinward Fringe world, an amazing world that isn’t that different from today just with a lot of newer technology and in space vessels traveling between systems. Old enemies start to intrude on Valance’s life.
Read book 0 first so you get the background if you want, but this book really stands on its own.
