We had a girl leaving our larger group for a new job in the company. There was a meeting invite sent out for after work with “end of an era” as the title. She’s been a good co-worker, pleasant, and well liked. She’s helped me a lot over the last two years and most importantly, I’ve learned I can trust her and count on her when I need her to do something. That’s rare, and I was happy to go out for a couple drinks.
I’d like to think that if I were leaving, this is the reception I’d get from co-workers, but you never know. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
It’s been a good trip. I’m beat, and I think the combination of two counties, two time zones, and not traveling for awhile has made it harder. I feel slightly out of sorts.
I’m feeling better, which is good. I had meetings all day the last two days, so a good use of my time. I gave lots of feedback, learned things, and got some ideas for work writing. Always good to have a productive week. Sitting at a desk here, doing stuff I could do in CO is the worst way to spend my time.
Ready to go home, so time to crash before I get up and leave early in the am for Heathrow.
