A Late Night

Not that I'm aware of it all. I think I crashed around 12:30 at a friend's house, on the coach, Rock Band guitar in hand while Tia and our neighbors continued to talk and have fun. Kendall was with us, playing with their girls and having fun. I know this because sometime around 2:30am they woke me up and we headed home to find Delaney still playing XBOX.

He didn't want to give up his Tom Clancy's Endwar game, which he'd purchased with some birthday and Christmas money and it arrived yesterday. It's interesting because he gives verbal orders in the game, so I'll walk by and hear him say "Bravo team, cover checkpoint" or something like that. He didn't want to go to bed, but good to know that he can handle being alone for a couple hours while we're next door.

I pinged a friend yesterday for lunch, didn't have time to go, but I did end up going out with his family last night. We'd gone to Dave and Busters with them a couple years ago and decided to head out again for a few hours. We got there, ate, and then played some shuffleboard with friends. A little video below from my new Flip camera. Tia's using my laptop, so this is with Camtasia editing, not the best in the world.

From there Tia and the kids wandered back to the game room while I stayed, hung out, and played shuffleboard. Actually we didn't really play or keep score, just pushed the pucks back and forth while chatting.

Around 10:30 we left, the kids fell asleep in the car, I was tired and just maintaining the speed limit to get home without issues. We got back just before 11:30 and were ready to put kids to bed, but Kendall really wanted to go next door, so we did, leaving Delaney behind.

We got there, informed them their horses were out and our neighbors ran outside to get the horses while we took their place in Rock Band 2. For the first time I played guitar, having been stuck on drums at home, and Tia sang, and we rocked out with friend of our neighbors to a few songs. It was pretty easy on "Easy" for me, so I moved to "Medium" on one song and instantly regretted it. Two finger chords everywhere made it definitely challenging, taking me from 99% to 83% on the same song. Still it was fun in a group and I'd like to see the kids do that more.
