Continuing the story, we have Pendergast in Scotland, almost killed by his wife's brother as he searches out the mystery of Helen. He learns she's alive, and that's the chase through the book, with people thinking him dead for most of it.
It's quite a story, with D'Agnosta searching for him, Corrie (from Kansas) coming back and insisting he's alive. Hayward respecting his memory, but trying to get Vincent to move on. This is a captivating story that fleshes out the characters.
Cold Vengence wasn't a re-read. This was one I missed.
