Tired and Sore, but Satisfied

Yesterday was a busy day, an all day affair starting with morning yoga. Both Kendall and Tia came, and we enjoyed a good workout to start the day.

Then it was chores. Trying to fix the electric fence, cutting some grass, fixing sprinklers, and for most of the afternoon for me, I spliced in a line from one sprinkler to run a line to the garden. I’ve been wanting to do this, but was glad to get it done. I got the line cut in quickly, but then it was trench out to the garden about 40ft away.

Dug a 4ft by 6” trench, lay in some sprinkler hose, then fill it back and repeat. Some ground was tough, and I’m amazed anything can grow there. It was hard, dry, clay ground, while some was dirt and soft.

I finally got it done, showered, and then went to get some groceries to cook dinner. We had a nice cookout, eating on the back patio with all the kids. It was a great evening, and I’m glad we had everyone together. Not sure how often that will happen again.
