Getting Close

A hectic day for me. First a minor chance to sleep in, but then I had to get going quickly and make Kendall breakfast before volleyball. That was OK, not many girls there with the state tournament today, but they had an easy, fun, scrimmage.

Then home to feed hay as Kendall wasn’t feeling great. Not a big deal, but it takes time. As soon as I was done, Delaney and I headed out to finish a piece of his Eagle Scout project. The railing was a little loose, so we went to get some Timberlock screws and wood to brace the posts and screw them into the ramp. As the sun set, we were out there cutting some scrap wood and then screwing the posts in, generator running and Delaney’s phone providing a flashlight.

But it was done. Now we agreed to refinish the top slightly, but that will wait until the spring and the weather is better.
