Yesterday we wanted to have a family day, at least part of the day. Tia had to work in the morning, and Kendall had to feed, plus Delaney and I needed to work on the electric fence. Plus, Kyle and I were up early for morning yoga at the pool.
That was neat. I took Kyle as a guest, and this was the first time I’d done outdoor yoga. It was interesting, and fun. Hard to hear, so I learned I need to be near the left side of class to hear better. I also learned that the footing is much different and I need to be cognizant of where my mat sits. However, a good workout and nice time with Kyle in the am.
The afternoon plan changed a bit. We talked about the Incline, but Kendall wasn’t up. We though a museum, but then Kyle asked if we would try the Botanical Gardens, which are near his house. Everyone agreed, and even though it was hot, we had fun. The sky was beautiful.
It’s a surprisingly big area set in the middle of Denver, just adjacent to Cheeseman Park.
We saw some really interesting plants and learned a bit about our world.
Art is placed around the various gardens, and even overgrown in places. Not here, but other places.
There are some indoor and outdoor areas, here’s the wishing well inside, showcasing some tropical plans.
Overall, it’s not something I’d have chosen, or even thought I’d enjoy, but it was nice. Peaceful, a chance to think differently and get away from the busy world, busy life, technology, and more.
A good afternoon, topped off with a quick tour of Kyle’s house, meeting his roommate, and grabbing Voodoo doughnuts (which I avoided).
