It was quite a year of travel for me in 2018. The most I’ve ever flown in a year, topping 110,000 miles. It was a fun set of trips, and manageable as I didn’t do much travel from work between Jan and April, so that was good.
A few highlights:
- 6 trips to London
- A new country, visiting China (Hong Kong)
- Wonderful trips with Tia to Jacksonville, Cork (Ireland), Paris, London/Cambridge as a couple.
- Two volleyball trips, but both to Philadelphia
- DC and New York, in one trip.
- Nashville and Pittsburgh visited for the first time
- 3 National Parks: Bryce Canyon, Glacier, and Yellowstone
- Over 2500 miles driven in Tia’s truck and trailer. With horses!!
Next year will be different, though with a few more work commitments, I’ll likely end up with similar miles on fewer trips and to fewer places, though I think 2 new countries are on the horizon. At least, I’m hoping they are.
